A drawing program for Windows systems, CorelDraw is ideal for creating logos, signs, letterhead, Web-based artwork and other graphical elements for your business. The application includes a built-in help module and training video component, a photo-editing utility and a website design component. CorelDraw requires a system containing an Intel Pentium 4 or AMD 64 processor running a 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 7, Vista or XP, and 1GB of RAM. In addition, your system needs 1.5GB of free hard drive space and a 1024-by-768-pixel screen resolution monitor.

Navigate to the “CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6” Web page (link in Resources), and then click “Download Trial” to launch a dialog box. Click the “32-bit Version” or “64-bit Version” radio button to select the version of the program compatible with the version of Windows you are running (see Tips).
2.Click the “Download Now” button. Click the “Save File,” “Save As” or similar wording button on the “Opening CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6Installer_EN64Bit.exe” dialog box. Navigate to the directory the file downloaded to; it's usually “Download” or a similarly named folder, depending on your browser's download settings.
3.Double-click the “CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6Installer_EN64Bit.exe” file. Follow the onscreen prompts, and then click the “CorelDRAW X6” button to launch the application.
4.Click the “Continue” button, and then enter your email address to register the application. Click the “Submit” button, and then click the “Continue” button.
5.Click the “X” on the Welcome dialog box to start using CorelDRAW. Click “Help,” “About CorelDRAW Membership,” and then the “Buy” button to purchase the application, if desired.

- CorelDRAW’s trial period is 30 days. Once the trial is over, the application prompts you with the About CorelDRAW Membership dialog box for you to purchase the application.
- If you are not sure which Windows version your computer is running, click “Start,' followed by 'Control Panel' and then 'System and Security.' Click 'View amount of RAM and processor speed” under the 'System' heading. The Windows version your computer is running is under the 'Windows edition' heading.
